Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 7/30/2026 · Effective for QR-Powered Identity™ ("the Service")
This policy sets out specific rules for using QR-Powered Identity™, in addition to the general obligations in our Terms of Service. It applies to Avatars (business accounts), anyone using the Service on an Avatar's behalf, and by extension the Technicians an Avatar adds to the platform.
QR badges and technician identity
- Only issue a QR badge to someone who is an actual, currently active employee or contractor of your business
- Deactivate or remove a technician's badge promptly once they stop working for you
- Don't upload a name, photo, or role title that misrepresents who a technician actually is
- Don't share a technician's badge or verification link for anyone else to use as their own
Notifications
The Service sends homeowners a dispatch email and, once arrival is confirmed, a one-way arrival text — it is not a general-purpose messaging tool. You agree not to:
- Use the Service's email or SMS notifications for marketing, solicitation, or any purpose unrelated to a real dispatch
- Enter a homeowner's contact information without their knowledge that a technician is being sent to them
- Attempt to send bulk or automated messages through the Service outside its normal dispatch flow
Verification pages and arrival confirmation
- Don't submit a manual "arrived" confirmation for a visit that didn't actually happen at the homeowner's address
- Don't attempt to scrape, mass-request, or automate traffic against the public verification pages (technician profiles, job summaries, confirmation links)
- Don't attempt to guess, enumerate, or brute-force another dispatch's confirmation token
- Don't interfere with or attempt to bypass geofencing or other verification mechanisms
Homeowner data and photos
- Only request a homeowner photo through the Service's built-in consent screen — never pressure a homeowner who declines
- Don't use homeowner contact information collected through the Service for any purpose outside coordinating that dispatch
- Don't attempt to access another Avatar's homeowner or technician records
General prohibited conduct
- Uploading unlawful, obscene, or infringing content anywhere in the Service (branding assets, technician photos, profile text)
- Probing, scanning, or testing the Service's security without our prior written permission
- Reverse engineering the Service, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it
- Reselling or white-labeling the Service without a separate written agreement
Enforcement
Violating this policy is a violation of our Terms of Service and can result in warning, suspension, or termination of your account, as described in Terms of Service, section 7.
