Terms of Service
Last updated: 7/30/2026 · Effective for QR-Powered Identity™ ("the Service")
These terms are an agreement between QR-Powered Identity ("we," "us," "our") and the business signing up for QR-Powered Identity™ ("you," "your," an "Avatar"). By creating an account or paying for the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service does
QR-Powered Identity™ lets a home service business dispatch technicians to homeowners with a QR-code badge homeowners can scan to verify the technician's identity, along with optional email/SMS notifications and arrival verification.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be authorized to bind the business you're signing up on behalf of
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account
- You're responsible for having the right to add each technician's name, role, and phone number to the Service, and for whatever notice or consent your own employment relationship requires
3. Pricing and payment
- $397 one-time setup fee, which covers up to 5 technicians
- $100 one-time fee for each additional technician beyond the first 5
- $99/year maintenance subscription, billed automatically once a year to the payment method on file until canceled
Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing a payment method you authorize us to charge it for the fees above. See our Refund Policy for cancellation terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Issue a QR badge to anyone who isn't an actual, currently active employee or contractor of your business
- Use the Service to send unsolicited or deceptive communications to homeowners
- Attempt to access another Avatar's account, technicians, or homeowner data
- Interfere with or attempt to circumvent the Service's security or verification mechanisms
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full list.
5. Service availability
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime. The Service depends on third-party providers (hosting, SMS, email, payments, mapping) that are outside our control, and outages on their end can affect availability here.
6. Homeowner-facing content
You're responsible for the accuracy of the technician and dispatch information you enter — homeowners rely on it to verify who's showing up at their property. Any photo requested from a homeowner during a visit requires their affirmative consent through the Service's consent screen; declining a photo request must never block or delay service.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including issuing badges to non-employees or misusing homeowner data. See our Refund Policy for what happens to fees already paid.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, and our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including damages arising from a technician's conduct on a job site, which is outside our control. See also our Disclaimer.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION].
