Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies QR-Powered Identity™ actually uses. We keep this short on purpose: the Service doesn't run advertising tracking, and analytics runs only if you opt in, so there isn't a long list to describe.

Strictly necessary cookies

When you sign in to an Avatar dashboard or the internal admin console, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets a session cookie so you stay signed in as you navigate the Service. This cookie is required for login to work — it cannot be turned off without also losing the ability to sign in.

We also store a language-preference cookie (qpi_locale) that remembers whether you prefer to view the site in Spanish or English. It contains no personal data and is not used to track you.

Analytics cookies (only if you accept)

If you accept, we use Google Analytics (a service of Google LLC) on our public pages only, such as the home page, the sign-up page, the legal pages and the public demo pages, to understand in aggregate how many people visit and which pages they read. Analytics is off by default: until you tap Accept, nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookie is set. If you tap Decline, or simply ignore the banner, it stays off.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_ followed by our measurement ID, which last up to 2 years, and collects which page was viewed, your approximate location (country or city level), and your device and browser type. We turn off Google signals and ad personalization, and we do not use this data for advertising. Analytics does not run on badge verification pages, company dashboards, the admin console or checkout. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy.

Your choice is remembered in your browser (local storage key qpi_cookie_consent) and you can change it at any time with the Cookie settings button on this page. If you decline after accepting, we stop analytics and remove the analytics cookies we can reach from this site.

Third-party widgets

The technician dispatch form uses Google Maps' address autocomplete to help you enter a homeowner's address. Loading this widget may cause Google to set its own cookies, governed by Google's Cookie Policy, not this one. We don't control what Google does with those cookies.

What we don't use

• No advertising or ad-retargeting cookies
• No analytics cookies unless you accept them
• No cross-site tracking of any kind

If that changes as the Service grows, we'll update this page and this section will stop being accurate as written today — it describes the Service as it exists now, not a permanent promise.

Managing cookies

You can change your analytics choice at any time with the Cookie settings button on this page. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Because the only essential cookie this Service sets is required for signing in, blocking it will prevent you from logging in to a dashboard or the admin console — public pages (like a technician's verified profile) don't require it.

This policy is one of the documents that form your agreement with us under our Terms of Service (Section 12). If it conflicts with the Terms of Service, the order of precedence in that Section applies.
