Not a background check or licensing service
QR-Powered Identity™ verifies that a QR badge corresponds to a profile an Avatar created and controls — it confirms "this badge belongs to a person this business says works for them." It does not perform criminal background checks, license verification, insurance verification, or any independent vetting of a technician's qualifications, training, or trustworthiness. Avatars are solely responsible for their own hiring, licensing, and vetting practices.
Location and arrival confirmation
Where enabled, arrival verification compares a technician's device GPS location against a geocoded homeowner address. GPS accuracy varies — it can be degraded indoors, in dense urban areas, or without a clear sky view — and geocoding an address to coordinates is not always exact. A confirmed or unconfirmed arrival status reflects what these systems reported at that moment, not a guaranteed, independently verified account of a technician's physical location.
No employment or agency relationship
Technicians shown on the Service are employees or contractors of the Avatar business that added them — not of QR-Powered Identity. Using the Service does not create an employment, agency, or partnership relationship between us and any homeowner or technician.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers — Stripe for payments, Twilio for text messages, Resend for email, Google Maps for addresses and geocoding, and Supabase and Vercel for hosting and infrastructure. We aren't responsible for outages, errors, or inaccuracies originating from these providers, though we work to handle failures gracefully where we can.
No professional advice
Nothing on the Service constitutes advice about home repairs, contractor selection, safety, or any other professional matter. Decisions about hiring or trusting a specific technician remain the homeowner's and the Avatar's own responsibility.

This Disclaimer supplements, and does not replace, the "as is" and limitation-of-liability language in our Terms of Service, section 8.
